Chase and I went on our honeymoon to the BAHAMAS and it was so bomb. Loved it! We went on the Royal Caribbean Cruise and it was so awesome! It ported out of Fort Lauderdale Florida and cruised to the islands of the Bahamas. We had three main stops: Nassau, Coco Cay, and Key West.
The first day the ship just made its way into the beautiful and WARM Atlantic Ocean. Chase and I enjoyed all the ship had to offer. It had TONS of amazing food. Seriously, we ate so much. So much, too much, but we were so happy and it was so worth it I wouldn't have done it any other way. We swam in the pool lots, enjoyed the spa, rock climbed, enjoyed a few comedian shows, explored the ship plenty, people watched, laughed, laid out, and... ate :)
The second day is when the ship ported in Nassau. This island was made for tourists. There were many booths set up selling a lot of handmade bags, purses, sunglasses, wood sculptures, necklaces, bracelets, shirts, the usual touristy things. Chase and I helped ourselves to a few things! Then we headed to the beach and swam and took a nice nap. We also took a sailboat excursion to go snorkeling and I got a hair wrap! This was awesome because the ocean in the Bahamas is so different then Hawaii. It is ridiculously warm, crystal clear, and shallow. Loved it. Saw lots of pretty fishes!
The third day we stopped at Coco Cay. This was my favorite! The first thing you see is lots of bright colored buildings and booths full of trinkets and food! We explored a little and plopped ourselves on the beach. It was so dang hot here I couldn't believe it. I had to lay out in the shade and that never happens! Luckily the beaches were lined with palm trees and hammocks. A dream come true. Chase and I also walked out really far and the water at deepest went to our waists. I got my first jelly fish sting and it kinda freaked me out, but I lived. Chase was sweet even though I'm pretty sure I was being a major wuss. I was moreso scared than hurting haha! Anyway, it was truly amazing and gorgeous. Unfortunately all our awesome water photos were lost on our camera we left on the plane. Tragic :(
The fourth day we went to Key West off the coast of Florida. I felt like I was still in another country. It was beautiful, tranquil, colorful, had some of the nicest shopping and real estate I have ever seen. Chase and I explored the town, ate some ice cream, went to the beach, and our favorite...jet skiing! We rented a jet ski and went on a tour around the entire island. It was the raddest thing ever and so fun! Chase is a crazy driver so pretty sure Chase was deaf afterwards from my screaming, but I survived. Basically funnest week ever!
