trampoline jump

our friend taylor and his brothers run a wooden sunglasses company called PROOF, and film maker devin graham was visiting the island to make another rad video to add to his youtube fame. together they ran this pretty awesome event of jumping off the laie point from a trampoline into the ocean. sketchy.

i have jumped this rock before but couldn't even get myself interested in doing it with the extra bounce height of a trampoline. no thanks. but lots of other people did and it was very entertaining. i had to cover my eyes more than once in fear of people's lives. lets just say you need to not hesitate when jumping off a trampoline into the ocean, or there are consequences. some of the girls jumping had me extremely concerned haha. peer pressure was really getting to people's heads.

knowing my husband, he got on that trampoline and didn't even hesitate before jumping. me being his annoying wife and knowing this, was prepared with camera in hand ahead of time! he decided to go big the first time thinking, "what bad could happen, it's only water." well, semi-bad happened. he busted a front flip 180 into a back flip which was totally rad looking, but his front flip was a little slow (so he says) so he under-rotated and landed on his face. so sad, he had me worried . . . again. he was super dizzy and got puffy eyes right away, a nose bleed the next day, and a slight black eye a couple days after. what can you do, boys will be boys.
