our first stop, although meant to be last, was the gift shop. both of us love the gift shop and found ourselves waisting time in there. we tried on silly masks and hats and checked out all the cool stuffed animals. when i was little those places were heaven to me. can't wait to have kids and let them pick one! and that beanie ball was huge, check that turtle out! trumped the pillow pets thats for sure.
then we began our animal stroll and we saw lots of cool tropical birds and awesome monkeys. gibbons were my favorite! we looked at funky reptiles since chase is obsessed and i got a picture being a turtle in front of the "fly turtle" cause hello, my maiden name. then we were walking to check out the gators when i saw a dang dinosaur! check that thing out, it was GINORMOUS you should a seen it in real life. so awesome.
the african savanna was cool. we saw giraffes, zebras, crazy hippos, our flamingo friends, arthur the aardvark, ostriches, baboons, lizard things, rhinos, and even timon from the lion king was there! after the african savanna we hit up the keikis petting zoo and looked at the huge koi and pet lots of goats. and to top of our visit we saw the huge elephant from asia! i had never seen one before so that was pretty rad. oh i also ate dipping' dots for the first time. they were tasty. and shout out to my sister megan, i took that last picture in front of those trees solely for you and drew. i think you guys should make a new iPhone case out of this wood, it's so awesome! so that's a wrap to our zoo visit. someday i'll have a child hooked to my hip and the zoo will be that much funner.
HAHAHA! i had no idea you loved zoos so much! how funny - i don't really like them - they depress me, just thinking about them all locked up haha. but i must say honolulu has LA zoo beat! dang! that baboon is awesome!
ReplyDeletelove all the silly faces and silly photos - it made me laugh and smile as i scrolled down through your photos. you are so dang cute. love your guys' style and personality - i just need you in my life.

Ah I love this! I'm with you, the zoo is THE best.
ReplyDeleteYa! Love all the animals! You got some pretty sweet pics there! I also love browsing the gift shop, and by the way you totally rocked that Safari hat, seriously you should by that thing.
ReplyDeletehaha lisa you are SO CUTE! you will be the best mom. definitely will need a zoo membership! haha. ky said san diego zoo was lame! maybe because it was so hot when she went the animals were hiding. actually, that could have been la zoo? what do i know. anyway, animals are my fav and zoos make me sad seeing them all caged up. but they still fun. kinda like a fair. or circus. and yes that last wood we saw a lot in hawaii. i think its a tropical wood. i should have drew look that up it would make a rad case! we're gonna do skate decks soon so that will be awesome and colorful :) wow way too long of a comment sorry!
