a peaceful evening in waterton lakes

Watertown National Park is such a gem.
I have friends from college that live here, and we were so lucky to visit them on Sunday.
Thank you Max and Christie for showing us your beautiful home!
It's a tiny mountain village tucked away in the National Park alongside a gorgeous lake.
If you cross the lake at a certain point, you will suddenly be in Montana near Glacier Park.
Pretty rad when you think about it.

We had to snap some family pics to remember this gorgeous view!
The mountains in Canada were so huge and breath taking.
The air was crisp and fresh, and the smell of the earth after rain was so heavenly.
I absolutely loved every second of being here.

This place is a beautiful hotel that is open during the summer and closed during the winter.
It's called the Prince of Wales Hotel,
and they even have cute tea times where you can sit and enjoy the views.
My friends Max and Christie who we were visiting got married here.
What a gorgeous sight!
Chasing our crazy toddler around is what we do best. Rem is growing so fast!
This is my friend Christie and her son Gus.
Her husband Max and I were friends at BYU-I, and it was so fun to finally meet her in person!
She felt like a soul sister, so sweet and so welcoming.
I hope we can return to visit you soon!
Remi and Gus. Just being homies.

The gang!

This looks like it could be our band album cover haha ;).
Our little cutie, happy as a clam with her rocks in nature!
We crashed Max and Christie's hood on Fathers Day.
So grateful they still welcomed our visit.
Chase and Max sure are fun dads!
If you are ever in Waterton Lakes, definitely eat here!
My friends here own it alongside the waffle place.
Their hot dogs are SO GOOD.
And they have amazing fries with delicious sauce options.
The rosemary one was my favorite.
AND, they make their buns homemade fresh every day and get their meat locally ground.
QUALITY.

Waffleton is right next to Wieners of Waterton and it was so tasty.
The s'more waffle was ridiculously good.
Plus, they make them from scratch and there are these sugar crystals in them that caramelize when cooked to give it a yummy crunch on the outside.
It's so dang good its ridiculous.
It's so fun to see my friends accomplish wonderful things like running their own businesses.
We are so grown up haha, what is happening?!
I still feel like I'm 19!
Such a beautiful and quaint town, tucked between some mountains.
Our family had a great time and I know yours would too.
We only had one evening there, but I know next time we go we would like to go canoeing, hiking, and maybe horse back riding!
There are tons of options to do here, and even more memories.
I now understand the Canadian pride.
It's such a beautiful country!
More about Canada coming soon :).
