surf surf

while mel was here we had so much fun surfing! one day after playing in the banyan forest, we spent the morning relaxing in the sun at beautiful kawela bay. and check out that cute little canopy someone built! this bay is so peaceful and always a favorite for people who visit. and conveniently this bay is right across the street from a cute farmers market where they sell all sorts of goodies including ice cold coconuts and fried bananas! yummmm.

we also spent our days surfing at castles and turtle bay! mel caught 4 waves on her first day, i was seriously impressed. surfing for the first time is not easy and can get frustrating, but she seriously mastered it. it was so fun surfing with her and attempting to assist even though i am no pro. all that matters is that we both caught waves and had a blast. i think mel discovered a new passion, now she just needs to live on an island or the coast (wink). and while we surfed and played in the water we took a bunch of rad photos . . . well at least we thought. we were using disposable cameras from the local grocery store and none of them turned out on either of our water cameras minus a few. big bummer, seriously so sad. i guess our awesome photos will remain in our memories. dang it. i need a gopro.
