Since moving to California in late January we have been busy bees!
I got a part time job as a nanny, while Chase is doing a marketing internship.
My sister Kylie and I take turns visiting each other,
last of which was spent in LA getting hair makeovers.
Chase and I spent Valentines Day at home and ate delicious pizza.
We've surfed, kayaked, and had some great beach days.
Spent one weekend in St. George to run a relay race and hit up Vegas on the way home.
Life is good, real good.
I decided to do one last wrap up post of Hawaii via my iPhone pics.
So here they are, my last months in Hawaii.
Full of sunshine and happiness.
xo :)

Wow has life been busy lately. I can't believe it's been over a month since I last blogged! I'm happy to be back and have TONS to catch up on. So to start off the new year I gathered 2013's best moments and decided to share them with you. I feel so happy and blessed with where I'm at in life, and can't wait to see what my future holds with my family. Feel free to follow along!
JANUARY
In January Chase and I were lucky enough to spend our New Years in Mexico at his families' beach house. The boys had a blast surfing multiple times a day while the sister in laws and I made peace with the couches and took many "a naps" in attempt to read a book.
FEBRUARY
After living on the island for over three years and only leaving once for my wedding and once for Christmas, I was itching for a trip home. Idaho welcomed me with open arms, including a tiny pair of newborn baby Van arms and my beautiful sis Meg. It was perfect.
MARCH
My Mama Baby and Poppio came to visit Chase and I for spring break and we got to stay in this adorable beach cottage! And did I mention it was right on Gas Chambers? AWEEEE what a dream it was, waking up to the sound of waves crashing on the North Shore. We spent our days snorkeling, eating local grindz, surfing, sleeping, exploring, and just being flat out beach bums.
APRIL
Chase and I must have done something right this year, because everyone was coming to visit! One of my best friends Julie came and we surfed, jumped off cliffs, and talked each others heads off just like old times. Babies was a recurring topic and within a few months I get a call that she is pregnant! Can't wait to meet her lil' babe someday.
MAY
My sisters and I turned 25 on the 25th! Our golden birthday was definitely one worth remembering. Kylie came to visit me in Hawaii while Megs stayed back in Idaho watching her cute new baby Van. We missed her every single second and you better believe we were in constant contact. #thankyouiphone
JUNE
I dream of this day on the reef at least five times a week. GAHHHH TAKE ME BACK!
JULY
I wore my flag suit at least three times a week, ate lots of watermelon, and won most patriotic while surfing. Oh, and on the 4th of July we paddled out at T-Bay and watched the fireworks from the comfort of our boards. Epic day my friends.
AUGUST
A miracle happened! Our entire family was together for the first time in about 6 or 7 years (we lost track it had been so long). Every other year we have our Fly Reunion with my side of the family at the Oregon Coast. Chase and I were so happy we were able to make it and soaked up every second of good family time. We even braved the ice cold surf.
SEPTEMBER
Chase and I island hopped to spend our two year anniversary in Maui a little earlier in the year. We felt all fancy with our free stay at the Waldorf Resort and pretended we were mature and adult like. It was a party. The rest of September was spent swimming underwater and never coming out.
OCTOBER
My brother Chase and his wifey Megan came to visit and I think it's fair to say that amongst all the fun things we did while they were visiting, shelling was definitely the highlight. The entire time the Chases (my brother and husband) were making fun of me for being so obsessed with finding shells and sea glass. It wasn't until I took my brother diving with me that he truly understood the obsession. He was immediately addicted. Treasure hunting is just too fun. Oh and don't worry, we went to a really fun Halloween party and dressed up as mermaids. Fitting I thought :).
NOVEMBER
With all the shells I'd been hoarding since I moved to Hawaii, I finally opened my Etsy shop! I can't believe how much I have grown to love making jewelry and painting. I have so much I want to do it literally weighs on my mind constantly, in a good way of course.
DECEMBER
December was the busiest month of my life. I was constantly trying to sell every belonging we owned to prepare for the move back to the mainland, while trying to keep my cool about leaving Hawaii and maintaining enough work hours to get by. It was a sad yet exciting month. The Rondos visited for Chase's graduation and we moved from our island home to visit Idaho for the holidays and later settle in the San Diego area which is where we are at now. I don't think I have cried so often or felt so sad about leaving somewhere in my life. Hawaii just isn't meant to be left. We will be going back someday. Not a day goes by where I don't think about our island home and the memories we made there.
If you're really bored ;), see 2012 in review HERE.
Cheers to a new year :)!
