date night with mr. rondo

Friday was the best date ever! We have this new thing going where every Friday we switch who plans date night. And it always turns out to be a fun surprise, we love it! So this Friday was Chase's turn. He did amazing. I loved every second of his sweet and well planned date.

It started with me finding this adorable thing on the kitchen table holding the note of activities...FUN! I found this cute lil' Valentine critter at Foodland once and really wanted it for some reason but Chase wouldn't let me get it. I mean look at it, it's so cute right!? Maybe it's because I always had hamsters growing up and I just love cute Valentine stuffed animals (even though its early). It's all I ever want for Valentines day, a stuffed cute animal, candy, roses, a card, and dinner. Simple simple. Anyway, back to the date. Chase surprised me to this with a well thought out date. It read:

Special Guest ticket for a date with your husband:
  1. Stop and share an acai bowl at Sharks Cove and watch the sunset
  2. Get some bonzai sushi
  3. Stop and rent a movie of your choice
  4. Come home and make chocolate strawberries and watch movie
We raced to watch the sunset first since it was already setting and we made it to Sunset Beach right before it set. And check it out. Epic. We had to watch some of it as we were driving, it set so fast. We have seriously never seen the sun look so huge it was massive and way bright orange. At least we caught the end.
After we watched the gorgeous sunset we went to Sharks Cove and shared an acai bowl together. Just like we did on our first date. Except this time he paid, well, we paid, haha ;). When we first started dating he was just home from his mission and was penny-less. But he did many other sweet things and we were very happy! Loved his thoughtfulness.
After our pre-dinner snack we went to Bonzai Sushi in Haleiwa, one of our favorites here on the North Shore besides Haliewa Eats. It was delicious as always. Chase is getting better at sitting on the ground criss crossed. And we ordered miso soup too with tofu and it was so good oh my gosh. Love love.
After we stuffed ourselves with goodness we went home and rented King Kong via iTunes and enjoyed ourselves to chocolate dipped strawberries made by my Mr. Perfect date night!

  6. ya, a transmission would cost around $3,000. it's worth around $5,000, so we sold it for $2,000. probably could have gotten more out of it for sure, but either way we lose money so it just sucks. figured we'd stop putting more money into it and invest in car that isn't so expensive to work on! haha. sucks!!!
