iphone love

usually i try to avoid blogging with my iphone pics except my it's a wrap posts, but i just couldn't help it today. i realized that living in hawaii can be a pain to carry around an SLR and here are my reasons: sand, water, sun, and theft. i always have to worry about these things destroying my camera so depending on what i'm doing, it may be safer at home. i really need a gopro (wink). so this weekend my iphone was my friend. wish these pics weren't so blurry. next time ill take my camera.

friday a couple friends bethany, lindsey and i headed to town to attend a book signing at lululemon. we learned a lot about diet and exercise and how it effects our vitality for life. i loved it, it was informative and made me feel like i was in school again and i missed it. i never want learning to end. after our book signing we grabbed a delicious dinner at macaroni grill. while i was out and about with the girls, i got the awesome news that my sister in law megan had baby #2! she is beautiful and her name is aspen. there is a very special meaning behind her name that just touches my heart. my brother picked it and it is adorable. i am so happy to have another adorable niece and now be an auntie of 5 nieces and 1 nephew, with 1 on the way on the fly side!

saturday i woke up bright and early and went on my run, then joined my relief society sisters for a fun hike. it was so nice to go on a hike, it's been way too long. it was gorgeous as usual and fun trekking through the jungle. my friend cheka even did it and she can pop any day now! she is awesome. after our hike we headed to the beach and played with turtles. and to end our day we had a fun lil' surf sesh at turtle bay and caught some party waves with my hubs. i even stayed out after the sun had set. i was so proud of myself for surfing in the dark with only a few lights beaming on the water from the hotel. i have always been curious but very afraid of looming sharks haha, but i did it and survived. it was an awesome weekend. hope yours was too!
